Lakechick1 Posted May 12, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 12, 2016 A group of 6 of us would like to spend the afternoon at Venice Beach after debarking from the Carnival Inspiration cruise in Long Beach. Any suggestions on how to get there from the cruise terminal and then back to LAX for a 6pm flight? We are in port at 7am. Also, does anyone know where we could store our luggage or if the cruise line would send it directly to LAX?
lizardhowson Posted May 12, 2016 #2 Share Posted May 12, 2016 Does Carnival offer Luggage Express at Long Beach ? Perhaps you could rent a car for the day.

WhyIsTheRumGone23 Posted May 13, 2016 #4 Share Posted May 13, 2016 Rent a van at John Wayne Airport (Long Beach) and then drop it of at LAX. Long Beach Airport is the closest to the port. John Wayne is about 25 miles south of there.

SadieN Posted May 15, 2016 #6 Share Posted May 15, 2016 (edited) FWIW LGB is Long Beach SNA is John Wayne. There is an Avis(?) near the Hyatt. Sunseeker Tours might be an option Edited May 15, 2016 by SadieN
terri-eddie Posted May 17, 2016 #7 Share Posted May 17, 2016 We booked Sun Seeker Tours after our Miracle cruise to Hawaii. Not a day at the beach, but an awesome tour around LA, and a drop-off at LAX later in the afternoon. It was the best tour we've ever done! Our guide was so funny, and so knowledgeable. And the sites we saw were interesting...some drive-by, some park-and-look, some we were able to get out of the vehicle and spend a bit of time looking around. loveJake Posted May 17, 2016 #9 Share Posted May 17, 2016 We went to Venice after our cruise. We rented a car and the shuttle picked up up at the port. There are local rent locations so you do not have to go to the airport. Cannot remember who we rented with, just do a search.
