Can I pay to upgrade?

I am booked with a Bounce Back offer from February on the Dream in July. I paid extra to get the OV cabin, but now am kicking myself for not getting a balcony. I checked and there are several balconies left.

 

Considering I had to have this booked by the end of February, anyone have a clue if I can upgrade to a balcony?

I was not able to upgrade my Bb from interior to OV back in January. There are a limited number of each room type available under that offer and by the time I called, only interiors were left. Good luck. Let us know how you make out.

Its offered by the casino to those gamblers they want to come back - it's usually a "free" cruise, often interior cabins (paying for port fees and taxes with the option to pay for a better cabin like an ov or balcony).

 

Good luck upgrading. Sometimes there are still casino cabins available and sometimes not.

I was told that you could not change cabins after the 2-week booking window for the free cruise:(

My sister called her PVP and was told we could not upgrade since it was past the booking window. I am going to call the casino booking number and double check.

We upgraded from an Ocean View to a Suite without any difficulties.

does Carnival have a dedicated 800# to call for upgrades (NCL has a special number)...or do you just call carnival customer service number?

I would definitely think so. I paygraded to a balcony from an inside on the Sunshine two years ago

I was told I would not be able to upgrade at a later date with the free casino offer. My PVP told me that they can only enter the promo once, so I would have to pick the cabin I wanted from the beginning or I would have to pay full price to upgrade at a later date.

I have upgraded several times with a bounce back, both at the time of booking and at a later date. Never had any trouble doing so through customer service.

I was given a free cruise a couple years ago (that was not associated with the casino) and was able to upgrade to an OV after I booked the inside cabin. I later found out that the ship I was sailing on has inside french door cabins and when I asked if I could change to that room, was told I couldn't because it is actually a downgrade. So you can upgrade, but you can't down grade. :)

Update - No, I can not upgrade. I called and was told that for me to upgrade, the promotion must still be available.

 

Lesson learned. We have an OV, but wanted a balcony since we have 3 sea days. I will be happy with my OV! :D
