Micknmin Posted May 16, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 16, 2016 (edited) We are sailing on the Disney Dream next week and are trying to decide whether to park at Port Canaveral or at Park & Cruise. While the price for Park & Cruise is considerably less expensive, my husband thinks it will end up costing more due to have to tip the shuttle bus driver, and then also tip at the port. It's been eight years since we have cruised, so I honestly can't remember how all of this works. Also, how much do you normally tip per bag? moki'smommy Posted May 16, 2016 #2 Share Posted May 16, 2016 (edited) You'll have to tip the porters at the terminal either way. Parking at the terminal is $15 per DAY (so a 4 night cruise uses parts of 5 days). Yes, a tip to the shuttle driver is appropriate, but I don't tip anywhere near the difference between the Park and Cruise price and the terminal price. I would see the biggest difference as whether you can get off the ship and walk to your car vs. getting off the ship and going to the shuttle line to wait for the Park and Cruise shuttle. They run a continuous loop, but you could wait 10 minutes. As to how much I tip....there are 2 of us. I usually give the guy $5 and call it a day. Sorry if that seems cheap, but it is under 5 minutes of effort. Edited May 16, 2016 by moki'smommy
Familycruisers20 Posted May 17, 2016 #3 Share Posted May 17, 2016 We tip per bag. You will have to tip the guy at the terminal either way, so that's a moot point. We usually give the driver $5 or so each way.
