Loving your review!

I would have such a hard time on this cruise. I'd want to spend every second I could in these amazing ports, but with only one sea day, I'd never be able to do all and see all and eat all I wanted on this fantastic new ship.

Sigh. 1st world problems.

Eagerly awaiting more!

Great photos! Once again, it really seems like there are minimal crowding issues on the ship, always places to sit or eat. Did you feel like this was the case? Is this an itinerary thing or an actually fairly well thought out design?

I believe it's the design of the ship, never felt crowded, you could always find a place to sit and relax in a quiet spot, listen to live music, or just relax outside on deck 5.

Exactly, that was our issue. Trying to get enjoy all this ship has to offer, yet spend hours in port each day to enjoy Europe.

Ok, I think I left off at day 6 so lets get Day 7 started

Day 7 May 20, 2016 Crete (Heraklion), Greece

Funtimes

My father was from Greece so this was the one port we most looked forward too (Been to Athens several times...).

No breakfast onboard since we booked our own tour of local shops with someone I found on Trip Advisor “Heraklion Eat & Drink Walking Tour”

Guides name Georgios, it was absolutely fantastic, best tour I’ve ever done.

Note, there is a free shuttle from where the ship docks to the main port terminal and from there you can find your way around the main streets of Heraklion.

Georgios meet us at the Heraklion Terminal and we started our walking tour as he explained the history and culture of Crete.

Eventually we ended up at shops and markets where we went into a Coffee House and Georgics explained how they roast and make the coffee grinds, then he made us some Greek Coffee.

Next stop was a Bakery where he explained to us how the different dough’s and breads are made, meanwhile the shop owner hands us a plate of cookies and biscuits each.

The next stop was a cheese shop and once again Georgics explain all the different types of Greek cheeses and how they are made then you guess it we got to sample different types of Greek cheese.

We walked through more city streets, the fish market and waterfront where we ended with a seafood lunch not far from the pier. We sampled all types of food and wine. Of course Georgics is a wine expert and explained all the different types of wines and grapes from Crete Greece.

Once we made it back onboard we headed to the Havana Pool area for some R & R. No need for the Tides Pool, Beach Pool or Serenity with the Havana room, we just loved it.

Here are some pics we took the previous day of some areas I haven't shown yet...

This tour in Crete looks AMAZING!!!

Yes it was, I overheard lots of people on the ship complain about Crete and we just loved it because of this tour. The cost was 80 euros per person. We like trying new things so we enjoyed the lunch even though some of it was stuff we would not eat at home. He did ask us what we wanted but we left the lunch menu to him. I included the link to all our photos because there are just too many to post and I know people are mostly interested in Ship photos.

We then headed to the atrium to listen the the Violin trio “Essencia” before the show in Liquid Lounge

Tonights show in the liquid lounge was a comedy juggling act “Edge” was his name, not much more to say than that…

Here is another pic of some of the views you get from the seating at the back of the Liquid Lounge

Headed up to beach pool for 80’s glow party grabbed some late night pizza and called it a day

Better late than never, I didn't realize until day 8 that at the Taste Bar in Oceans Plaza they had breakfast served before 9. Still the same carton eggs but not busy and just great to grab a quick breakfast. Best part was it's right around the corner from our room...

Today was a rainy day and since we've been to Rhodes before and this is such a port intensive cruise we had no issues just relaxing onboard. We couldn't really enjoy the Havana pool area because of the rain though.

So time to check out other areas of the ship I haven't shown yet

Reflections dinning room is so much smaller than Horizons

Something I have not seen on any other cruise I've been on, a Laundry Room. Here is the room thats on deck 6. I walked by at least 4 times to get photo's but it was always busy, finally a time no one was using it.

Lunch was burrito from blue iguana, very good

27177218761_7d0fc391aa_b.jpg

The ship had these hand washing stations where you just put your hands it, it washes them for about 30 seconds than just dry them off with paper towel

27149382492_53492ffa33_b.jpg

Relaxed the rest of the day then dinner tonight was at Fahrenheit 555 again since it was so awesome first time around
