Final Payment Question

Recommended Posts

I booked a 5 night Bermuda cruise, on the Anthem, for Sept 3 back in March of 2015. My booking invoice, as well as the information on "My Cruises" states that my final payment is due on July 5. I was recently checking other cabin options on the same cruise and noticed that the final payment date is June 5. I was wondering if my cruise will be cancelled if I don't pay my final payment until July 5. I don't want to loose my cabin. Will they contact me before cancelling my booking?

They may not notify you before cancelling.

Royal recently changed the final payment dates, but your booking was made long enough ago that your final payment date should be 60 days before your cruise. However, with Royal's IT system constantly messing things up, I would be concerned if I were you. You could call them and confirm the July final payment date. If it were me, I would not trust them to give me the correct info, and I'd pay off the cruise in June just to be sure.

Final payment is typically (almost always) due 90 days prior to sailing. I would be inclined to think that the July date you were given (60 days prior to sailing) was in error. I would definitely call Royal to get clarification.

Or you could go with what the other Bob said. He's usually correct. :D
