So confused about which ship to choose!

Hi all...

I am looking into our first family cruise for Feb, 2005. We will be cruising with 4 adults and 4 children ages 9 through 15. These boards have been sooooo helpful with info, but I am very confused as to which ship I should select. My head is swirling!! Would like to have enough activities for all the different aged kids to do. Have considered Golden, Grand, Star and Caribbean Princess.

Any thoughts, suggestions and/or opinions would be greatly appreciated!

TIA
Sammy

They all would be a good choice. THey are practically all the same ship. I have been on the Star and highly recommend it.

Hi Sammy!
Well... all these ships are similar . They are the same class except the Caribbean Princess has one more passenger deck (amongst other things). The Caribbean has also 500 more passengers (so probably more kids). I am pretty sure that roughly, the kids programme are similar on all 4 ships but of course, it's the crew that makes the difference so maybe someone else can help you there but I heard nothing but praises about the Kids programe on Princess. Since they are just a variation of the same ship, I would chose based on itinerary and price. You can't go wrong with any of those ships though.

As kkorman wrote, these ships are "practically all the same"! To make your choice go by your preferred itinerary and price! You'll have a wonderful time no matter which you choose.

Cruising! It's like being in the Garden of Eatin'!

I appreciate the quick replies! I know this is the Princess board, but for those with children who have sailed multiple lines, do you prefer the ships I mentioned above, or another line such as RCCL?

If you want kids to be entertained then RCCL may be for you, Voyager Class only. But if you want better meals and entertainment for the adults then Princess. You can also try the new Carb Princess with the movie screen on the pool deck.

Hopfully a Hawiian Cruise

Kids do love Princess and you can enjoy the adult pampering on any of the Grand class ships. You can't pick a bad one.
