3.5hours enough from disembark to Train station in Barcelona?

Recommended Posts

Hi There,

Never been to Barcelona, so need some timing advice. Disembark our Royal Caribbean cruise ship at 6AM Monday on July 25th..

Our train at Barcelona Sants leave for Paris at 9:25am. Is that enough time to disembark Brilliance of the Sea? Or should we pick a later train at 1.17pm just to be safe timing wise?

We only have 2 travel bags. How long do you think the Disembark at the Barcelona port usually takes?

Depends on which ship you are on (how many cruisers) and if you are EU citizen or not.

Our only experience is after a Transatlantic with Allure, being an EU citizen (May 2015) when we basically just walked out. It took about 10 mins because there were slower people ahead of us and we did not want to push anybody. Passport control was just waving us to go through with our EU passports. No customs or anything. Taxi line was nonexistent, there were more available taxis than people waiting.

So I'd say you've got plenty of time to spare.

We are US citizens (though EU residents, but that does not affect much if anything) and have always been off very quickly in Barcelona, including after our two TAs that ended there.

I would say your odds are very good. It is the fastest and most efficient port we sail through, and the train station is close by.

  • 3 weeks later...

We caught the same train last year off the Allure. Big ship, virtually no customs check. We are Australians so not EU. Got off at about 7.30 and we reached the station minutes later with time to kill.
