Do any of the wifi plans support SnapChat?

WONDERFUL!! Thanks very much . Do you happen to know how much the $16 a day plan is discounted if its bought for the whole cruise? We are on a B2B so we have to figure something out for the 14 days we are traveling. My hubby is a sports reporter, he will lose his mind not to know the NHL and MLB scores for 2 weeks. I'm good with FB and Instagram.. ha

I don't know if gmail will work on the $5/day plan but I can confirm it works on the $16/day plan and that plan is discounted if you buy it for the entire cruise. From Carnival:

We offer three different types of plans that can be purchased for either a 24 hour period or for the entire length of the cruise at a discount - price for voyage plans vary by length of cruise:

 

• Social ($5 USD per day) – Access the most popular websites and applications. Includes: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Linkedin, Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp. Does not include access to other websites or apps.
  
• Value ($16 USD per day) – Surf all your favorite sites, including e-mail, news, sports, weather, banking and finance. Note: Does not support Skype calling or music streaming (such as Spotify).
  
• Premium ($25 USD per day) – From e-mail to Skype, our Premium plan promises the fastest possible connection, at speeds up to 3 times faster than our Value Plan. Supports Skype video calling, where coverage allows.
  

Users may easily upgrade from one plan to another. Users may use one device at a time on each plan, including either their personal devices or one of our on-board computers. All plans exclude video streaming (such as Netflix or Hulu) and Snapchat. Cellular-network-dependent WiFi Calling and Facetime services are also not supported at this time. Printing is offered at no charge.

 

 

To access Wi-Fi, simply turn on your device's Wi-Fi feature and you will receive the information needed. You can do this anywhere onboard the ship.

i bought the cheap wifi plan while on the magic in January. I was able to use facebook and snapchat everyday of the cruise. It was slow but it still worked.

We were on Magic in July. We bought the social package for myself and my 2 teenage daughters. Snapchat was not supposed to be included but it worked all cruise with no issues. I would try the social plan first, if it doesn't work you can upgrade to the next level up.

Definitely hit or miss. Last cruise in Fantasy, people were able to use it effectively in the open decks, but not in cabins. Pretty sure Carnival says not supported on the social plan, so they don't have to deal with complaints.

So those that have used the plan before, do the other social plans work in cabins? I wasn't expecting them to work, so this would be a nice bonus for my girls if so. I had told them to expect the plan to only work on upper decks.

Facebook works, but it's not really consistent on the lower deck cabins.

 

 

It also depends on how many others are trying to get online. For the low flat rate it's worth it in my opinion.
