Liberty of the Seas Panoramic Ocean View rooms

I am considering booking one of these rooms on deck 12, and was wondering if anyone had any pictures?

 

Also, this would be our first Royal Carribean cruise (myself and dh in our late 40's and a 4 and 6 year old) and any advice would be extremely welcome. I have been reading reviews and ship based threads, we have sailed Carnival and NCL but thought maybe branching out would give us a new option.

We are in 1802 on Liberty right now. No complaints at all, right at the front of the ship :). I'll see if I can add a few pics later.

We had one of these rooms on Rhapsody. We loved it. The whole outside wall is a large window. Also seems like the room had so much space. I think the kids would love looking out the large window. It goes from floor to ceiling.

Shots are of PF Family cabin 1854 on Navigator which is similar to the PF cabins on Liberty.

You didn't indicate which category of Panoramic you were in but with two children I felt you were likely in one of these. If in a P1 or P2 cabin I have shots of one of these also.

Yes, the regular Panoramic categories are P1 and P2.

There are 3 types of panoramic oceanview cabins. The regular, large and family.

 

Regular panoramic oceanview is identical to a balcony cabin except you get a floor to ceiling window instead of balcony. They average around 185 sq.ft.

 

Large panoramic oceanview is pie shaped and substantially larger than a regular cabin at 280 sq.ft. The only downside is there are only 2 such cabins, and one of them is handicapped accessible, so the odds of snatching one is extremely slim.

 

A family panoramic oceanview is the largest of the three at 400 plus sq.ft. There are only 2 such cabins, and you need at least 5 person to book.

Yes there are non-family P1 and P2 panoramic OV cabins.

Any pitching movement will be worse there than lower and midship.

We just sailed in April 2016 and were in the E2 Balcony rooms on Deck 12 1878 and 1828. All 4 of us (43, 50, 52, & 48) agreed that in our rooms we did not feel much of the motion even on the few nights we had high seas (5-6 ft waves). Lower levels however (promenade and deck 4) we felt the movement more and on the lower levels is where my Brother in law got motion sick a little bit.

 

We loved that deck it was quiet and our Cabin Attendant Erick Bennett was so awesome we sent in the WOW card for him.

My family of four (two kids 15/12) have the Panoramic P2 or P1, cannot remember. Does the pull out sleep two?

I was in the P2 room on the navigator. We loved it. nothing like having the curtains open while out at sea. Just remember to close them at night when pulling into a port the next morning. It was awkward waking up butt naked with the window wall open facing the boat next to us. As high and private as it seems it is level with the pool deck of the other ships.

We were in 1804 on Freedom which is a family panoramic. We only had three people and loved the room. You can feel the ship move more, there is no way around that. Also, there were more creaks and groans due to the flexing of the ship in this room.

Question for those who have stayed in the panoramic rooms - did the couch open up in such a way that the mattress sits on the floor? I am considering options for my 1 year old who sleeps on a floor mattress at home. How high up off the ground would you say it was once the couch was converted into a bed?

I am taking all my kids and spouses and grandkids in August. I have the family panoramic for one family of five and my daughter and her son have a regular panoramic room. We are so excited! We did not want balconies for rooms with kids.

Thank you for the photos of the P1 cabin. I have that booked on the June 25th sailing of the Liberty and have found there are not many photos out there of this cabin. I have been wanting to get a photo of the closet, as I heard they are small.

Nothing really, they extended the deck that the message treatment rooms were on and blocked the outside windows that were in those rooms.

Can't wait till Feb. We are going on a cruise with he whole family. We will be in 1804 (family pov), brothers family in 1854 (family pov), sisters family in the P1 (non accesible), parents in one of the e2 balconies. We loved liberty. What a great ship. Splashpad for kids is amazing. I just wish that a ship with panoramic ov rooms was cruising the med next summer so I could book these rooms.
