Now why would they place an emergency help button in an accessible cabin right above the pillows in an easy to reach area?

Sorry but it's not inappropriately placed - it's placed so someone who needs it, can reach it.

For the OP, that box on the wall does seem out of place. Any idea what it is?

See post #1;)

Ok, we're back safely and don't need to make an insurance claim[emoji3]. A couple extra pillows did the trick. Aside from that injurious annoyance, we absolutely loved the Sunshine!!

Have the cabin steward remake the bed with your feet towards the wall ..

Then you can't sit up in bed to read, watch tv, etc. No back support and the tv is behind you. Better off stacking a bunch of pillows.

I was just about to suggest that too! Everybody laughs at the folks who pack duct tape, but you never know when you'll need it!

I always bring duct tape, and I'd say half the time I end up using it (if not for me, then maybe a table mate who mentions a problem). Duct tape is awesome.
