candlegirl Posted July 1, 2016 #1 Share Posted July 1, 2016 I booked this cabin today for November 2017 out of Galveston. I can't find much information on it. Has anyone stayed recently? Any pics of the size of the room? Noise situation from Windjammer above? Number of bathrooms? I've seen conflicting info. Thanks.

cruznwine Posted August 26, 2016 #3 Share Posted August 26, 2016 We recently sailed on Vision of the Seas and members of our family stayed in Cabin 8000. It drove us crazy trying to figure out the configuration of the cabin before we sailed. It turned out to be a great cabin: Long hallway and entryway Small bathroom with a shower Large bathroom with a shower/tub combination Large living room area Master bedroom area curtained off from the living room with a large walk-in closet Separate bedroom with a door, two lower and two upper beds Tons of storage and closet space I hope this helps. Happy cruising!

dlbaqua Posted October 7, 2016 #7 Share Posted October 7, 2016 Just booked this cabin for March, 2018. Gotta book that far in advance to grab such a great cabin. The video and description really helped. Thank you! Did you hear any noise from Deck 9?
cruznwine Posted October 8, 2016 #8 Share Posted October 8, 2016 Members of our family were in 8000 and we were a couple of doors away in 8002. I cannot speak specifically for 8000, but I know that in 8002 we heard little to no noise above us, especially overnight.

elaine5 Posted October 18, 2016 #11 Share Posted October 18, 2016 (edited) what about ship's movement? I read that b/c it is so far forward there is a lot of movement? anyone sail during non-smooth seas, such as to NE, Bermuda, etc.? I have this cabin reserved on Grandeur for NE/Canada and am debating whether to change to 2 cabins mid-ship. FamCruz2012 Posted January 18, 2019 #12 Share Posted January 18, 2019 Has anyone stayed in Vision #8000 since refurbishment? We were told by RC that it now has a larger "floor to ceiling" window in living room. I would LOVE to see current photo/video! Also would love to know if ship movement / noise was an issue. We sail April 2019 for Costa Maya & Cozumel. Thank you!

There are other ships/cabins that have floor/ceiling windows but they normally put in new or when cabin was added to ship later. Not saying didn't happen but would be first I heard they cut side of ship just to add a bigger window. Good luck, maybe someone knows. I'm on Vision doing 26nite B2B2B this yr including a TA from APR10-MAY06, could find out for you if no one else has by then. This location will likely feel more motion if weather/waves get rough. Did 100+ nites on Vision class ships between 1996-2002 and we had few rough days on board, though we usually sailed during middle of Hurricane season. But something never predict Edited January 18, 2019 by ONECRUISER
