cruiserdebs Posted July 6, 2016 #1 Share Posted July 6, 2016 Hi We are sailing on vision of seas in Aug 16. We have all inclusive beer and wine included in our booking. Can anyone tell me how much it costs to upgrade to cocktails and spirits and how we got about doing the upgrade. Also - are there any special nights where we need to dress up (ie white night etc) Any help would be appreciated.:)
Mystic Eye Posted July 15, 2016 #2 Share Posted July 15, 2016 Hi we just got of the vision and had the select package included in the WOW offer.nit that long ago when they started offering drinks packages there was one and it meant all inclusive ,now they have about 6 !!!. We were OK with it as not big drinkers but included most popular beers ,wine up to $8 and non alcoholic cocktail s and fountain cokes ,Sprite etc .the disappointment was it did not include bottled water or coffees ,theses were in different more expensive packages .not sure how much the upgrade was as didn't consider it but you can do it when you get on board .we had no special nights .the itinerary was such that with minimal time in every port( 2 hours on one day) the ship was always too packed ,our fault for not checking when we booked ,food in the restaurant was very good and cruise staff amazing ,enjoy
rjgdjg Posted July 17, 2016 #3 Share Posted July 17, 2016 Hi- On the beverage prices, your best bet would be to look on Royal Caribbean's website. A typical 7-day cruise has two formal nights for eating in the main dining room. The dress tends to run the gamut--from cocktail dresses, pants suits and skirts to gowns for women. For men, some wear jackets and/or ties, and some just wear nice pants and a shirt. A handful will wear black tie (this is a change from the past--there used to be many more gowns and black tie). Dressing up is only required on these nights if you're eating in the main dining room. If you're going to the buffet, you can come in shorts. Hope that helps! -- Musing About Cruising
