Carnival gift card for use in casino??

Hello fellow cruise goers,

 

I will be taking a Carnival cruise this summer and wanted to fund most of my trip using a Carnival gift card. I've already paid for the cruise but I was planning on using the remaining gift card balance to load my "Sail and Sign" card. Will I then be able to use that card to play poker in the casino even if I never loaded the Sail and Sign card with cash? If I then withdraw my winnings would it be funded back as a carnival gift card or as cash?

Sorry I can't help you with the poker because I only play slots. But as far as slots are concerned, yes you play with your sign and sail card. Then cash out at the casino cashier.

Thanks for the reply. Hopefully the slots and the poker table work the same
