Coral princess 10/25

I'm just wondering if anybody is in the same situation as my friends. They were scheduled to arrive in FLL yesterday from San Juan but the flights were cancelled. They are now confronted with more flights cancellations for tomorrow, so I think that they won't be able to board the Coral Princess as the departure is still maintained for 5 PM.

Is Princess going to issue refunds for pax who can't make it to the port due to airline cancellations ?

Would like to hear any comments on this situation.

I made a mistake with the arrival date. They were scheduled to arrive in FLL today not yesterday.

Check out the thread "Live from the Coral Princess 10/15 to 10/25". It has up-to-date information. (You might want to go to page 2 first and read the thread backwards, if you know what I mean).

 

It would be my guess that the Coral won't be leaving at 5:00 PM, especially if they are late getting into Port Everglades. No one knows for sure at this point though. (Even Princess won't know until the day progresses).

Thanks Cruznliz. I just read the thread and I'm still worried for my friends.

The last posting stated that the ship is going to sail later but at this point they do not know at what time. If we can find out the departure time maybe they can still catch a late flight to FLL. Getting into Miami is not going to be a solution now.

Well I guess at this point it's a wait and see situation.

I think it's going to be risky to book a flight to Miami knowing that the drive to the FLL port is about 1 hour. The afternoon flights fron San Juan arrive in Miami around 8 PM maybe later, I don't know. Their decision is going to be based on the departure time of the Coral. All of AA morning flights have been cancelled so maybe tomorrow they will know if they could get on the afternoon flight.

I think MIA is about 30 miles from the port, but with traffic I guess that could be an hour...I'd assume more like 45 minutes, but still :(
