Is the Villa worth the extra cost? Has anyone rented one before?

I think it would depend on the size of your group. We have used a Cabana for 6 people and it can get crowded.

Did it once for a group of 10 and it was worth it for the day.

 

Did it a second time but unfortunately mother nature decided we should go that day.

Yes. If the stop at HMC is cancelled, you would get a refund on your S&S account.

We had 12 people and we did the villa and it is so worth it!!! If you only have 4-6 I would go with the Cabana. If your group is large go with the villa

We've done all 3 types including the Grand Cabana with the open bar and Pinnacle Grill Chef BBQ (HAL cruise). I agree with others that 5-6 people would be the cutoff for me in a cabana. We had 8+ in a Villa in December and it was great! Totally worth the cost.

Only if Carnival cancels the stop! We've been there when it was cool and rained the whole day and they didn't cancel the stop. You will not get a refund if YOU choose not to go onshore because of weather.

We enjoy the Villas. I like having our own bathroom and the hot tub is a nice touch as well;)
