Yes we are still sailing on Saturday.....Check out the thread on the "Celeberty Connection" board, Century October 29, 2005. Loads of information about the cruise, shorew excursions, and follow cruisers. Info on current port and airport status on last two pages.

See you on board

I'm on the same cruise. I checked the Princess site for info. It said that one of it's ships was due back in port everglades on the 25th - but since the port was closed - it was not coming back in until tomorrow - Thursday. So, I'm assuming that the port is closed today and should re-open tomorrow.

Hope that helps.

From today's sun-sentinel (Ft Lauderdale newspaper):

The airport opens at 7 a.m. with the first departures and arrivals starting at 9 a.m., County Mayor Kristin Jacobs said.

Jacobs said the airport's opening is an important step toward recovery.

"We're all celebrating this news," she said.

The airport will close at 6 p.m., she said, an hour before the county curfew.

Passengers are advised to call their airlines before arriving at the airport. Electricity and water were restored to the traveling hub.

Port Everglades was scheduled to begin accepting cruise ships and freighters, according Phil Allen, the acting port director.
