Can someone compare Epic to Getaway for me?

We typically cruise Carnival, sometimes Royal Caribbean. Have done NCL once, the Epic and didn't love it ( not the best service, the layout wasn't to our liking, etc). I know the Getaway has a different cabin layout, but is there anything else you can tell me to help with our decision? We have 4 young kids and love big ships with lots of activities. Feedback is much appreciated. Thanks.

The Epic was my first NCL cruise Thanksgiving 2012 with 2 kids and family friends also with kids. I loved the Entertainment on the Epic but as you said not the layout or service.

 

I sailed Getaway this last Thanksgiving without kids and loved it so much we are taking our 6 kids with us this time. The layout is amazing, it is so open and inviting. The decor is beautiful and the staff was the absolute best I have experienced on any of my cruises.

 

You will not regret taking your kids on this ship.
