Welcome to Athens!!

 

We first planed to take the hop-on-hop-off bus. But met a local tour guide who offered to drive us for 4h. We had a car with AC, that was a good idea. It was hot in Athens.

We didn't go up to the Acropolis. There were to many people. We had 4 cruise ships in port. And it was to hot. We rather come back in spring. Also to discover the Plaka in the evening.

 

So we went to the Acropolis Museum. They show there many finds of the archeological excavation. And you have a beautiful view of the Acropolis from the café inside.

 

There was no line when we arrived. But when we left at noon, the line was long.

We stayed on board in Chania, Crete. All on board was at 1:30, not much time to go to the beach.

Hi all

 

Tomorrow, very early in the morning I'll fly with my sister to Rome. There we will board the Jewel of the Seas.

It's her first cruise. I'm so curious how she will like it.

 

I will not write a lot here. But I'd like to share some pictures with you. And especially post them online so that our family and friends can follow our cruise.
