qdc Posted October 27, 2005 #1 Share Posted October 27, 2005 I am taking a cruise to Barbadoes, St. John's, St. Maarten, St. Thomas, and Tortola in December 2005 out of New York. I have never been to any of these islands before. I would love to receive feedback about the best beaches to visit when arriving there; with best being defined as beaches that: have that crystal clear blue water, are not crowded allowing some degree of privacy, and lastly beaches that are close to where the ship is docked to save money and time traveling to them. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
bpampel Posted October 27, 2005 #2 Share Posted October 27, 2005 i chose sapphire in st thomas because i heard it was the least crowded and i agree it was not that crowded easy to get to and from the ship and everything you need is there food drink facilities... and good snorkeling which you can rent if needed in barbados we did a excursion on the silver moon which was unbelievable if you want to be spoled for the day this is it eat drink snorkel and drink some more and be waited on like royalty on a 45 foot catamaran and they on let 12 people at a time. i heard st john has some great beaches as well i will be going there in feb so i will find out
