My husband and I sailed on the Gem 7.30.16 out of NYC. We had a great time. It was probably our least favorite itinerary, but we liked not having to fly. We enjoyed Kennedy Space Center, and took a taxi around Nassau. It was too hot and crowded in GSC, and without a spot in the shade, I didn't stay long. My husband stayed on the ship by the pool. Smart man! Food on the ship was just okay, with the exception of Cagney's, which was superb! We were very pleasantly impressed with the ship - it was really beautiful. My detailed review is up in the Reviews section, and you can read it here:

A couple of high points I forgot to mention:

Lightening storm at sea: My husband was out there on our balcony with his camera photographing lightening bolts at 3:00 am. I dragged myself out of bed to join him, and what a sight - well worth the effort!

Cruising by the City Skyline on the way to the Bahamas, and then sailing by the Statue of Liberty on the way into New York. Truly amazing!

We had a very small roll call and, therefore, had a very small meet & greet with maybe 9 guests attending. I give lots of credit to NCL for setting up refreshments and sending some crew members, despite such a small group. Very nice!

I hope to post photos if I ever get them off my camera.
