Upgrade Question

Hi Carnival Experts!

 

I received a call from Carnival about an upgrade on my upcoming cruise on the Glory. Unfortunately, I was in a meeting and it went to voicemail. The agent left his name a number but he is now out until 8/15. The message indicated that there were very few upgrades available and I needed to act soon. I would absolutely love to surprise my wife with a nice cabin on a better deck. (We are currently in the basement of the Glory, I cheaped out this time).

 

So here's my question: Can I call back and speak to any available agent about this upgrade offer or do I have to wait for this one individual and potential miss the opportunity to upgrade?

Can't hurt to try. Tell them the name of the person who called you--might be some kind of computer message on what offer is.

It will not be a free upgrade there will be a cost involved in the upsell.

 

Sometimes a very good deal sometimes one you can easily leave

I tried calling the regular customer service number and was told that the upsell department is the only group that can help me. However, right now no one can help me because their computers are all down....

 

Oh well, I will save my money for more drinks of the day!!!

I have a question is there a list you need to be on to be called if there are any up sells available to offer? I have never received a call or email and have sailed with carnival a lot Thanks

No. There are multiple extensions and one person gets assigned a specific cruise. No way to know who has which. The same person doesn't even handle the same ship week after week. It's all random. You can't call them. They will call you.
