pathi Posted August 12, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 12, 2016 On my cruise this Nov, we are in Cozumel until 10pm. Is there a nice place to have dinner? Something other than the usual Mr Sanchos, Senor Frogs etc.
mrsfuzzmo Posted August 12, 2016 #2 Share Posted August 12, 2016 Yes, Lots of lovely places downtown. Unfortunately I'm terrible with remembering names (which usually comes from a couple of shots of tequila during dinner), but I know I've not had a bad meal in town at any of the "non-typical-tourist" places that I've eaten. I think Casa Denis is one that is often mentioned and I have eaten there and it was delicious!
OCruisers Posted August 12, 2016 #3 Share Posted August 12, 2016 Lots of nice locally owned restaurants in town. You might also consider taking a Sunset Catamaran Sail.
CozGurl Posted August 13, 2016 #4 Share Posted August 13, 2016 I second the sunset sail! cozumelsailing.com/sunset.html So many wonderful places to eat! There is an Argentinian place - Del Sur - that has the best chicken and empanadas. I think it opens at 5:00 p.m. If you want Mexican food there are ton around the "town square" - centro. Casa Denis is a good one. It really depends on how far you are willing to go to eat. If you do go to el centro, check out Woody's at the back of the square. They have live music most nights. You can eat there too.
