Sailed the Pride Aug 7-14. We drove to Baltimore on the day before. We stayed at the Days Inn Glen Burnie. It is not the Ritz but was ok for a one night stay. Price for stay & park was $147. I called while driving and asked to be place on shuttle list for 10am. They refused to do over phone. Upon arrival available shuttle times were 9am or 12pm. We selected 9am. We arrived at port about 9:30am. We were let into terminal at 10:15am. We had a party of 4 and the security people opened our 3 12 packs of soda. They checked every can and taped shut. We checked in quickly with FTTF. We were waiting in the priority boarding room by 10:35. We boarded around 11:30 right after the weddings. I headed straight to the red frog pub on deck 2. Carnival has a little contest, the first passenger in the pub receives a free beer. Score. We had extended balcony cabins 7246 & 7254. Our cabins were ready when we boarded. We dropped off bags and headed for Lido. We tried Guy's burgers. It was a hamburger ok not great not bad just a hamburger. 7246 has a tube tv while 7254 has a flat screen. We sailed the Legend in 07 so the layout of the ship was familiar. I've read about sewage smell and I must confirm. It wasn't everywhere or all the time but it was there. On the last night as we were leaving the casino late we smelled it there right near big wheel. There was also an intermittent fuel smell near the elevators. I noticed this near the lobby elevators as well as a couple of times outside dining room. It wasn't enough to spoil cruise but it was there. We had tables 134 & 136 put together for 4 early dining. Our head waiter was Carlos with assistants Amy & Bryan. They were very friendly and got us anything we wanted. We found the food ok, some selections were great others not so much. There was a constant vibration/shaking under our seats in dining room. I do not recall experiencing this on the Legend. We were in the same area of the dining room. We ate in the dining room every night but one. In Nassau we got onboard after dinner started. The buffet on Lido was not great. I would compare it to Golden Coral. We had pizza late a few nights. It is ok but nothing special. Will post more later. If you have any questions I will try to answer.

The cruise director was Schwartz. He is fantastic as he interacts with everyone. We thought they cloned him as you will see him everywhere. Even a crew member told us that he was the best cruise director he ever worked with as far as being friendly even when off duty. I will forever think of him not Mel Brooks when I hear my the Schwartz be with you. This is his sign off on all announcements and stage appearances. We did not do any ship excursions.

PORTS: Cape Canaveral FLA We rented a car here for $30. I dropped the girls off at Cocoa Beach and my son and I drove to Kennedy Space Center, If you have never been there I strongly recommend it. We spent about 4 hours exploring and it was very good. We were back onboard in time for dinner and sailed away at 7pm.

NASSAU BAHAMAS: We arrived here at 11am. It was cool close to port the ship turns around and backs into dock. We booked the BC Hilton resort for a day for $60/person. We walked from the port. After leaving the secured port area where you must show your sail and sign card +ID to get in we took a right to walk to the BC Hilton. You have to run the gauntlet on the streets as everyone wants to sell you something or bring you into their store or bar. We made it to the BC Hilton in about 15 mins. We checked in and were on the beach in minutes. If you do this they do not accept cash only credit cards. We watched two ladies try to pay cash and they were refused. The $60 comes with a $40 food/bev credit. The beach was very nice and is right across from the ships. Last time we were in Nassau we went to the public beach next to Atlantis and were bothered all day by people hawking everything from chairs to hair braiding to premixed drinks. It was not enjoyable. The private beach was well worth it. The food prices were a little high ($14 hotdog), but I think if you get something to eat and one drink you will be under $40. We used most of our $160 for drinks. I took my son across the street to McDonalds as he wouldn't eat anything on their menu. If you want to walk from port and have a peaceful beach day I would recommend the BC Hilton.

FREEPORT: We were only here from 7-1pm so we only stayed in the port area. We got off the ship about 9:30 and did some shopping and visited Senor Frogs for a snack and a couple of drinks. We were back onboard about 12.

Muster on the Pride is outside unless you have physical mobility restrictions.

Also, if it is very cold, January of 2014 they had us report to the alternate interior muster station due to the cold weather.

Thanks for the review. We sail on the Pride 27NOV for the first time so I am reading every review I can. Was the BC Hilton a private excursion, or did you book thru Carnival?

We booked private I think it was resort for a day dot com. BC Hilton has a website also.

Shows were nothing special the performers were avg at best. Our last Carnival Cruise was in 2007 and it is obvious that they cut the show budget. The comedians in punchliner comedy club were good. We had 2 comedians the first two nights. They got off in Cape Canaveral. Two new comedians boarded in Freeport for last two nights. We only attended the R rated adult shows and enjoyed all of them. We also attended the gender battle hosted by CD Schwartz. This was a lot of fun. As I mentioned before Schwartz is an awesome cruise director. We attended both Hasbro game shows. This was fun as Schwarts picks 4 teams of 4 each time so 32 passengers got to go on stage to play.

Debarkment: We had FTTF so waited in the butterflies lounge. We got off about 1015. Stood in Customs line for about 10 mins then collected our bags and were outside before 11. Shuttle was there and returned us to our car. We left Baltimore at 11:40 and were home in CT by 5pm.
