Leannellie Posted August 18, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 18, 2016 We're going on a Northern Lights and Cape cruise in February 17. What's the weather likely to be?. Will it be really cold at the top? Like bone shivering cold?

wblee Posted August 18, 2016 #3 Share Posted August 18, 2016 It will be very cold, especially North Cape where the wind comes straight from the Pole. Layers are best and a GOOD pair of gloves will be helpful. Don't worry though as long as you are properly dressed you will absolutely love it, the cape is an experience. The local shops sell a lot of natural fur clothing which they swear by and they should know but the only swearing I did was at the prices, it is an expensive place. BUT it is beautiful and we will definitely be going again. Make sure you take lots of photos.
jimgri Posted August 18, 2016 #4 Share Posted August 18, 2016 We were there in March, admittedly 3 weeks later, and had unseasonably warm, sunny weather in Alta which melted all the ice sculptures!
