Love2Cruz2015 Posted August 19, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 19, 2016 I am looking at at two cruise itineraries for March again. Here are my choices... Itinerary 1: Malaga Palma de Mallorca Palermo Malta Split Venice Itinerary 2 Barcelona Marseille Genoa Rome Palermo Malta Barcelona 1st Itinerary is on the Musica 2nd on the Meraviglia Price difference is substantial when comparing category to category. Pricing on the Meraviglia OV is higher than Musica Balcony for instance...difference in pricing BAL to BAL is much higher. Obviously MER is a new ship, so I expect that to be higher...but if I can get more mild weather on the Musica itinerary, that would sway me...(price being another factor). WWYD?? SeeUsoon@Sea Posted August 19, 2016 #2 Share Posted August 19, 2016 (edited) I'm a "what's new" kinda gal. I booked a b2b on Meravilia in 10/2017. There's a 50/50 promo going on and it was super cheap. One week I'm gonna do the ports;the next week is all about the ship and amenities. I wanted the YC so booked an YC inside to save money. I'll see the views in the top lounge! The room is just to sleep. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edited August 19, 2016 by SeeUsoon@Sea

I'm fine with touring weather so if it's on the cooler side I think I would enjoy it. Only thing is my DD won't be able to take advantage of water park..but they do have an inside pool I read and being in FL we have access to pool/ beaches year round...so it's actually not a big deal. SeeUsoon@Sea Posted August 19, 2016 #4 Share Posted August 19, 2016 I don't really know about weather. It would be my first time doing Europe. And I read your review by the way; it was great! I'm doing a whole month. I'll be in Paris for a few days then on to Rome then getting on the NCL Spirit for 10 days (got it super cheap thru Casino at Seas). Then hop on the Meraviglia for the B2B. Stay in Barcelona for a few days then fly home. This is a once in a lifetime trip. Yes it's gonna cost an arm and 2 legs [emoji12]. But I'm been dreaming of this since I was little. Love2Cruz2015 Posted August 21, 2016 Author #11 Share Posted August 21, 2016 March 2018 is so long away. Even my March 2017 feels like so many years away really cant wait. Wish i could time travel. Yeah it is...nearly a year and a half away...but I like to book early to take advantage of deals and cabin selection. Plus I have cruises booked that will keep me busy along the way.....The best thing to combat post vacation blues is having another vacation booked right after it. I'll be also booking the Seaside for summer of 2018 as soon as the booking window opens up.:D Once Halloween comes up, the holidays will go by pretty quickly and you'll be prepping for your cruise in no time. Where are you going, what ship?

heatherbelle Posted July 29, 2017 #13 Share Posted July 29, 2017 The sea days will be cold if you have any due to the winds at that time of year. We set off from Venice on 11th April this year heading to Cyprus Rhodes Israel, Kotor and Split and Crete. With the exception of Kotor we were very lucky and it was warm enough not to have a coat, in fact in Venice I was sat in a sleepless top. Having tracked the weather for weeks before my cruise, I wouldn't want to take a med cruise in March. You will have crisp sunshine days, but cool nights. There is still also a lot of rain around. I would go with the Malta option. The further south you head the better the weather. I have been to Barcelona in April, lovely sunshine, but biting cold winds, coat, hat gloves required.
