Growler questions

Ditto - I try to order local beers at all our travel stops. The island stops are fun, but the beer is usually not that memorable. Nothing I'd go out of my way to pack back on board. I'm happy with a pic with the beer and the bar sign in the background.

 

I Agree, now those lucky enough to be doing the Canada/NE itinerary, the stop in Halifax drops you off at the pier right next to Garrison Brewing. That is memorable enough to want to make someone smuggle it on board :D

There's a craft brewery in St. Johns, but their beers are average and available in the States. There's also one in St. Croix near Christiansted but my understanding was its not in a very good neighborhood.

Caybrew in the cayman islands is a good tour and very nice beers. I search through Google for every is,and we stop at. If I do not find a microbrew, them at least I try to find a beer that is hard to find anywhere else. Belgian in Belize is the example that comes to mind.

 

I guess I will ask on board since we have 3 sea days prior to St Thomas.

Great thread!! I'm planning on taking an empty growler but then filling up at each of the ABC islands! Worse case scenario I'll have to chug it before I get on ship. I have a few growlers, one looks like a canteen (Puerto Vallarta brewery).....

 

Other option, fill up before heading to beach and drink on the beach......
