When do towel animals take over Lido Pool? ....Last port day?

Hi! Ive been on several carnival cruises ... but always seem to miss the towel animal invasion of the Lido pool.

 

Is this the same on all ships?

 

I've heard it can be the morning of the last port day??

 

Please let me know ....

Best advise is to ask your cabin steward. All the stewards make 6-10 extra towel animals to contribute. On our Vista sailing, I think the invasions was the morning of Florence which was the 2nd to the last port day.

 

I think it's been different every ship; the first ship we saw it on was Sunshine

On our Fantasy cruise it was on the last port day.

I never saw them but my wife did and she is pretty sure it was on the day before the last sea day.

 

This would have been the 4th port day on a 7 day western on Conquest. (Grand Cayman if it makes a difference). We didn't have an excursion planned that day but DW had a spa appointment first thing that morning and she and the lady from the spa went to get a coffee while they were waiting for something. (machines to heat up? I don't know lol, not experienced at spa. But they had a few minutes to kill and DW mentioned she hadn't had coffee yet and lady said Oh, then let's go!) and they went through Lido and DW was thrilled to see them all set out and ready for the day.

I never knew they did this, I will have to make sure we ask, the kids would love to see it. I always walk the decks early but I'm probably too early to see it. I'm out there at like 5am lol

They did it on the Pride last March but not on the next three cruises on three different ships

Great Pictures!! Also thanks for the tip about asking cabin stewart ... they will know if they have to make extra animals!! :) I sail Conquest in 53 days...
