Rental car from MCO to Port Canaveral and Port Canaveral to MCO

We are arriving the Thursday before our Saturday cruise departure on the Breeze and want to rent a car for ease of

travel while at our hotel and then staying two extra days after cruise so woukd like to rent car again from PC to Orlando for drop off at MCO. Any recommendations on car rentals that offer shuttle service from PC/Cocoa Beach area on drop off to Port and from port on return to pick up rental ?

Pretty much all the car rental places have the shuttle, so I would shop around for a good rate. The one way car rental is very popular for this port.....

Have done this many times with various rental agencies. Might want to search the florida departure board for specifics. However, in a nutshell, almost all the major rental agencies have 1 way rental from MCO to Cocoa with transfers to the port. (and the reverse) Have a great trip

Have you priced out the rental for the entire time?

 

It may have been an oddity but we rented a car for two days prior to a cruise, paid for parking, and returned the car after the cruise. After factoring in the per day rental costs(always more than weekly) and shuttle costs (we couldn't find one with free shuttle) we found a deal that worked better for us to simply rent the car, use it, park it at the port, and go on the cruise. After the cruise we simply walked out to the lot, drove off for the day as we had a very late flight and returned the car at the airport. If you are staying for a couple of days after it could be an even bigger savings.

 

Maybe it was a special but the cost was ultimately cheaper. Even a few dollars more might be to your benefit considering the convenience. Depending upon your plans having that car right there might work out for you. Especially if you want one for a few days after.

 

Run a budget and ask yourself (if it is a bit more) what actually works best.

Is it just me, or would it not be cheaper to fly to Houston and rent a car there if you are taking the Breeze?

We used Budget to and from MCO. Easy both ways and shuttle to and from Port.

We use Avis or Budget at the MCO terminal.

Isnt the Breeze in Galveston? MCO is in Orlando am i missing something?
