Specific Freedom question...

I was just wondering, for anyone who has been on the Freedom recently. Last cruise we sailed on the Magic and I learned via the cruise boards, about the specialty Italian restaurant that is free at lunch time. Someone said it was a great place to eat for lunch on embarkation day because it was less crowded than the buffet. So we did that and it was great. I was just wondering if anyone knew if there is a similar place on the Freedom as an alternative to the buffet on the first day?

Pizza, Guys burgers,and the blue iguana are the only ones not in the buffet - + deli area

There is a place called "Fish & Chips" that is located in roughly the same location as Cucina Del Capitano is on the Magic. It is free for lunch. In my experience, it can hardly be compared to CDC on the Magic. The Fish & Chips you get aren't that much different from what is offered in the buffet. If you have trouble finding a place to sit in the buffet, however, this is a great area to escape and get a nice window seat. Hope this helps!

I LOVE Fish and Chips. It is awesome and they have a ton of options. I read that they got rid of it on the Conquest and started charging. I was on the Freedom August 13th and it was still there. I am going on the Breeze Sept 25th and they have the Italian restaurant and I am so disappointed :(

On Conquest, Fish 'N Chips has been replaced with a free bar-b-que place.
