Rhodes ideas

Having been to Rhodes before. What historic aspects are within walking distance from port? I know old city is there? beach area? suggestions please

We just walked around the old city and really enjoyed it. We then went to Elli Beach, just along the coast, where there is a diving board out at sea. We spent most of the afternoon watching the youngsters doing back flips etc off the diving board.

Our ship had a late port stay until 11:00 pm. We rented a car for the day and drove around the island at our leisure, visited some wineries, Lindos, etc. Then in the evening, we went back to the ship to change and went for dinner in the old town and walked around.
