Things to do in Europe (1 Oct Sailing)

Hi!

We are sailing in 1 October from Barcelona to Greece with Vista.

 

I look for people who have the same itinerary and aren't using excursions, and are willing to share their trip plan, mainly because this our first trip to Europe and we aren't familiar with the places.

By trip plan I mean only the places to visit while on port.

Hi and welcome! If you go to the "roll call" section on the main page you will find a thread for those on your (and my) sailing. It's been pretty active lately, mostly with people looking for others to share excursions with. You will probably have better luck over there.

We are also on the Carnival Vista on Oct. 1. If you go to the roll call for the Oct.1 Vista sailing, a friend of ours has a shore excursion listed with AP tours that visits Mt. Vesuvius, Pompeii and Herculaneum while we are in Naples. This is the Cox group with AP tours. The cost will depend on the number of people involed.

Hi

we are also on the same sailing.

I don't have many trips planned in fact now only one as no more Kusadasi.

 

Marseilles - walk or catch local transfer to town. Carnival over charge for this and read not needed. will just have a wonder about before going back to the ship.

Livorno - we may or may not get a transfer to Florence. Otherwise we will get off and wonder around the port. It's very nice as we did this last year.

Civitavecchia - Catch free bus to town and again wonder around, very nice as we did that last year to.

Naples - 1 and only tour booked Herculaneum, Positano and Amalfi coast.

Crete - take public bus to Knossos for the day.

Rhodes - walk in to the old town as we have been there on holiday before.

Athens - get hop on bus to the acropolis museum.
