Casa de Campo - Kandela excursion

Hi, has anyone tried this Casa de Campo excursion ?

 

"Kandela - A Latin Extravaganza"

 

I was speaking to a celebrity customer service rep and she recommended it. I'm looking for some first hand experience from cruise critic experts.

We were on the Constellation last February and saw Kandela. We enjoyed it. It was a Latin Las Vegas style show with Las Vegas style costumes (the men REALLY enjoyed the costumes :) ). We were on a Captain's Club reunion cruise and were given that excursion at no additional cost, so I don't know how much it is to say it is worth the money. But for a night's entertainment that is different from what you see on the ship, I'd say it was worthwhile.

Casa de Campo is not a great port to see or do much of anything. If you do not book this excursion, I would definitely look at booking another one of some sort. Hope this helps.

We also went to this show. It was entertaining and yes, the men definitely enjoyed it. One of our group was chosen to go on the stage and dance with the young ladies. He really enjoyed it.

My Husband and I saw the show last year. I think the cost was $30. A shuttle bus took us to the outdoor ampitheater, which reminded me of an ancient greek ruin. Anyway the show was excellent. The costumes were colorful and well designed, & the lead singers had great voices. The dancera were awesome. I thought it was well worth the money.
