Speedo Posted October 31, 2005 #1 Share Posted October 31, 2005 We are a group of 4 adults arriving at LAX at 10:30 pm on the Saturday before our cruise on the Pride (November 27th). Can any of you experienced cruisers give me advice and prices to get from LAX to Long Beach. We are staying downtown Long Beach by the Convention Center. Does Super Shuttle transport to downtown hotels or only to the cruise terminal? Is a cab cheaper or more expensive for group of 4? How long does it take to get to Long Beach? Thanks. Splinter Posted November 1, 2005 #2 Share Posted November 1, 2005 SuperShuttle goes everywhere in the greater LA area...hotels, businesses, private homes, etc. etc. No problem taking it to a hotel in Long Beach. A cab will run you about $50-70 depending on traffic, and would take from 20-40 minutes, again depending on traffic. Van cabs can be a little difficult to find at LAX. If you have 4 people and all their luggage for a cruise, you may not all fit into one cab. SuperShuttle would have no problems taking 4 of you in one van though. According to their website http://www.supershuttle.com , if you choose a shared van, you would pay $17 each ($68 total), if you choose an exclusive van for the 4 of you, that would run $73, and a private limo would run $87. They provide very good service, and I have never had them miss a reservation time. Keep in mind that this is the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Reservations will be a must.
