Does anyone know, if I were to bring my XM Satellite Radio on my cruise, would it work?

As long as you have a clear view of the southern sky you should have no problem. But in an inside stateroom it would not work as the signal can not penetrate the hull of the ship.

You should get a signal down to 'mid-Caribbean' but farther south than that, probably not. Its a little better further south in the western Caribbean.

i have the mifi and brought a boom box and picked up the signal to most of bermuda, lost half of them on the beach but got all reception in town

How did you go about packing the boom box? Would love to bring mine if just for Christmas music in our cabin.

The 3rd satellite didn't add any additional coverage iirc. I wonder how Sirius does? All I know is their 3 satellites rotate giving better outdoor coverage at times, but less stable overall...as you can have coverage there one day (if sat is overhead) then nothing if it's blocked behind trees hours later. Blah....that's why I chose XM.

We took a Sirius radio on the Constellation New England/Canada cruise. We were on the 8th floor with an overhang from the 10th floor. We never got a signal, even in New York City.
