Does anyone have an update on Embassy Suites?

Last I read it had sustained damage and was not going to open anytime in the next few days. Not sure when you have reserved it for.

The had some water damage and it looked like damage to the atrium roof. They're suppose to reopen on Monday, November 7, but check back later in case that should change.

You'll be fine in December... They have power & water and I noticed a lot of construction and other workers going in and out today while I was stuck sitting in traffic at that corner.

We are reserved there for Nov 12/13 prior to boarding the STar. I just called and spoke to them at the desk again. The girl there said that they anticipate being up and running by Nov 7 --- same as they said earlier in the week. They obviously have phone, they answered it! I asked when I should call and confirm and she said the 7th, but she sure sounded confident.

 

I'd like to stay there and have avoided booking elsewhere because rooms are at a premium and I don't want to take a spot I have no intention of using in the event the Embassey is open!

 

Thanks to all on this board for keeping us up to date and Trent, I don't know you but your frequent posts have calmed me down considerably and put my trivial concerns about where I am going to stay in FLL back where they belong --- at the bottom of the pile.
