gapearl Posted October 4, 2016 Author #76 Share Posted October 4, 2016 More from the lunch buffet. And then here's this stuff again lol. :D
gapearl Posted October 4, 2016 Author #77 Share Posted October 4, 2016 Perhaps I’ll receive a phone call from Adele asking me for singing lessons. Perhaps the zombie apocalypse will commence next week. Perhaps Jack Abbott and Victor Newman will become BFFs and take weekly extreme couponing trips to Kroger together. Perhaps the entire Kardashian clan will give up their party lifestyle to enroll in seminary together as a family. Perhaps one day Carnival will stop putting corn on top of bread and calling it cornbread. Y’all see where I’m going with this? My lunch of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and "cornbread." Never gets old lol. Sean eventually joined me for a bit and shared in my amusement. It was nice to see that Carnival has brought back the live Caribbean music. We had an informal meet and greet planned for 2 pm (not the official one through CC) but I had just woken from a poolside nap and wanted to listen to the music, so I missed it. Sean went and said not a lot of people came. Before heading to the sauna for a while, I killed some time roaming the ship taking some pictures. They had delivered my platinum strawberries and chocolates.
gapearl Posted October 4, 2016 Author #78 Share Posted October 4, 2016 Starting on deck 1, the riviera deck. The only thing here besides staterooms is the Butterfly Lounge where the Punchliner Comedy Club was held. Hmmm, I wonder why they call it the Butterfly Lounge? cruizinisthebest Posted October 4, 2016 #79 Share Posted October 4, 2016 Hey Kim!! Pardon, but I'll get to this review later. I know it's gonna be great. I've been to Bermuda before. Right now, I'm knee deep in your Mariner review. I was up past 2am this mornig looking at your Cuba photos and starting the Mariner review! Thanks for posting the links! It was your Magic review that cemented my choice to sail her. I don't think I'll be persuaded to try a cruise from Singapore, but it sure is some good reading!:D Congrats on your move to Vegas! gapearl Posted October 4, 2016 Author #80 Share Posted October 4, 2016 They were setting up for the art auction. It's nice to have restrooms in the lounge so you don't have to go wandering the ship looking for one.
sanmarcosman Posted October 4, 2016 #81 Share Posted October 4, 2016 Kim- That cornbread reminds me of the survival food Carnival served us during the Splendor fire cruise off San Diego. Ugh, but thanks for the memory ;)
gapearl Posted October 4, 2016 Author #82 Share Posted October 4, 2016 The promenade, deck 2. The Taj Mahal Lounge. They were having bingo so I couldn't get any good pictures here today. I've heard bingo players are serious about their games.
gapearl Posted October 4, 2016 Author #83 Share Posted October 4, 2016 Next to the bingo stuff was this Clue game. Looks like it could have been fun.

gapearl Posted October 4, 2016 Author #86 Share Posted October 4, 2016 Today was "International Talk Like A Pirate Day" and there was a scavenger hunt to celebrate across the ship. Some pirate jokes. There's an ATM and sail and sign kiosk right next to the cafe.

MaraBerk Posted October 4, 2016 #88 Share Posted October 4, 2016 Hi Kim! I absolutely love all of your reviews, but never comment. I guess I'm your official cruise critic stalker j/k lol Thank you for allowing me to live vicariously through your trips while I'm home planning my own. Does your carry on fit underseat? What brand is it? I'm in search of a new carry on and I trust your judgement-especially since you're on flights more than I am. Thanks agin for being candid and sharing your life with us! gapearl Posted October 4, 2016 Author #93 Share Posted October 4, 2016 Skipping around a little bit, here's the gym on decks 9 and 10 forward. You have to enter on deck 9. There's also a whirlpool there to the left but I didn't get a picture because there were so many people in it.

gapearl Posted October 4, 2016 Author #96 Share Posted October 4, 2016 These are from the ladies locker room. Sorry guys, I don't have any from yours lol. They're equipped with lockers where you don't need a key but a 4 digit code of your choosing. The steam room was broken and out of service all cruise. Inside the dry sauna, which was always nice and hot. Nice large showers.
gapearl Posted October 4, 2016 Author #97 Share Posted October 4, 2016 We had a full dinner table tonight for our first elegant night. Everyone looked really nice and was dressed up. I don't think I saw a single pair of jeans haha. Sean was late so I messaged him to see where he was. I figured he had fallen asleep and I was right lol. He made it just in time to join us for dessert. Tonight's dinner menus.
gapearl Posted October 4, 2016 Author #98 Share Posted October 4, 2016 Caesar salad. Pork chops? Grilled chicken with ONE piece of broccoli. Cheese plate. This is perfect for an appetizer or dessert. Creme brulee.
gapearl Posted October 4, 2016 Author #99 Share Posted October 4, 2016 (edited) Tonight our dinner servers danced to the Black Eyed Peas. I was looking forward to Low, Low, Low lol. Ok here's the one and only I'll post of my mom. She'll fuss at me and cut my inheritance if she finds out so don't tell her. ;) Dinner table selfie. #SuperModelStatus haha Edited October 4, 2016 by gapearl
gapearl Posted October 4, 2016 Author #100 Share Posted October 4, 2016 (edited) After dinner, I stopped by the Red Frog Pub to check out the band Adiktion and say hi to their keyboard player I had met and chatted with earlier. At the time I caught him, they were taking a break in between sets but I was headed to the Punchliner so I said I’d come back later. I took some pictures at a few of the backdrops and love this one. I swear I was snatched real good in my Spanx haha. Sean joined me for the 10:30 pm comedy show of Diane Ford and I caught the 11:30 pm show of Stanley Ullman solo. Diane was ok but Stanley was pretty funny. After I spent a few minutes in Beauties Nightclub and then went to the lido for a cup of coffee. I didn’t have many late nights out this cruise. This sailing was a bit of an older crowd and besides the casino, the ship was pretty quiet after hours. There was a good crowd going here tonight but I didn't stay all night like I have on previous cruises. 10 minutes and I was out. This was left by my cabin steward. I don't like this platinum gift at all, but my mom loved it so it went home with her. A froggy towel animal. Back in the room around 12:30ish, I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with chips and pretzels from room service. So that's enough excitement for tonight. I'll be around to respond to comments tomorrow and Wednesday I should have day 1 in Bermuda posted. Thanks for reading!
