Okay, upcoming cruise will be number 10. This morning I finally got that infamous 305 area code call. I was offered to go from an inside deck 2 to a balcony deck 6 for $200 total. I didn't even loose my on board credit. Needless to say I jumped on it.

Thanks all. We've only ever cruised in interiors and once an ocean view. Husband is very frugal and says that's alot of money that could be spent elsewhere, why splurge on the room. Well, this one is going to be very different. He agreed to FTTF, and cheers, now the balcony. I think he may just be getting soft in his old age.

How many days until cruising did you get the call?

I've been on 10 with Carnival and have 2 booked for 2017, but I've never gotten a call so I'm interested in knowing more 😄 we usually book only a few months before sailing, but our last cruise and our 2 upcoming cruises have been booked far in advance.

We sail in 24 days and got the call this morning

Thank you! My previous job wouldn't approve time off more than 30 days in advance, but now I'm finally able to plan vacations we want to go on instead of what's available and affordable last-minute!

I won't hold my breath, but our next 2 are for my 30th birthday and then for our wedding so it would be really nice to get one [emoji120]

Lucky you! Maybe the casino fairy will bless you In the casino too!

Enjoy the balcony!

We have sailed on about 25 cruises, various lines and only once was I offered an upsell that was a deal to me! That was on Holland America, $100.00 extra total to go from inside to a balcony. So happy that we received that because HAL is not our cup of tea. We thought we were "more mature" but about 66% of the cruisers were either utilizing a walker, wheelchair or scooter!!!

We mostly sail in an ocean view. Occasionally we have asked about the price for upgrading our room once we arrive at embarkation. We've been offered a balcony for $200. extra per person but never wanted to pay that much extra.

Have received numerous upswell calls but never been offered a bargain!!!

i got my first call this morning but had to turn them down. I am on a B2B and they couldn't do both cruises with the same room. I didn't want the hassle of changing rooms even though my Steward would move everything but its still the hassle. Hopefully one day will get a call that I am not on a B2B.

Our last cruise we got the upsell call three days before sailing. We went from an Ocean Suite to a Grand Suite for 150.00 a piece. We jumped on it. The only problem now is we are spoiled because of all the room we had in the Grand Suite. HAPPY SAILING!!!
