jaapstam Posted October 23, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 23, 2016 Dear experts, when cruising on NCL's Norwegian Sun back in 2009, I remember there was a 24hrs room service right to your cabin free completely free of charge. When browsing NCL's website now, I do not find this service anymore. Was it abandoned with introduction of the "Premium All Inclusive concept"? Or is it still available and I just don't find it? Kind regards Jaap Stam
NLH Arizona Posted October 23, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 23, 2016 Norwegian Cruise Line has introduced an enhanced room service menu. The new menu offers an expanded selection for breakfast, in addition to a wider variety of options available 24 hours. Individual items on the menu remain available on a complimentary basis and a convenience charge of up to $7.95 USD will be added to each order placed (Morning coffee, continental breakfast and orders placed by guests sailing in The Haven will not attract a charge)*. Room service is one of up to 29 dining options offered across the fleet, and guests continue to be able to enjoy a wide array of complimentary choices onboard 24 hours a day. *Prices subject to change. https://www.ncl.com/faq/money-matters
hawkeyetlse Posted October 23, 2016 #3 Share Posted October 23, 2016 (edited) As far as I know, the room service charge policy that NLH Arizona just quoted applies to all passengers. In other words, the Premium All-Inclusive concept for German/Austrian/Swiss customers does not include free room service, except under the conditions just mentioned (if you are in the Haven, or if you are only ordering from the continental breakfast menu in the morning). I haven't seen the current room service menu, but the last time I looked, it had some extra charge items (like a shrimp platter and stuff like that), and I believe they also waive the convenience charge if you order one of those.
