azjim66 Posted October 27, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 27, 2016 I booked a 4K cabin on the Miracle last week for the October 7, 2017 Mexican Riviera 7 Day on a whim with the reduced deposit offer. I checked the daily deals today and saw a significant drop for the 4K cabin under a new casino offer. I called and they advised if I paid the difference in the reduced deposit and full deposit that I could get the reduced rate. So I paid the difference and got a rate drop of $142. Pretty happy to get a drop like that so soon after booking. I will definitely be keeping an eye out for future drops!!

springs741 Posted October 27, 2016 #3 Share Posted October 27, 2016 It may have changed but I was told if you price match to another offer you forfeit your casino benefits. Be sure you speak with a trusted source before you price match.

BuckeyeCruiseGuy Posted October 27, 2016 #5 Share Posted October 27, 2016 (edited) It may have changed but I was told if you price match to another offer you forfeit your casino benefits. Be sure you speak with a trusted source before you price match. I've always been able to keep my casino benefits and remain early saver. But the last offer was just the lower price without any casino cash, not sure what the OP is getting, other than the lower rate. Set a gambling budget and when its gone ..its gone!! We go to Vegas a few times a year and that plan works pretty well!!

jennas_mum Posted October 27, 2016 #10 Share Posted October 27, 2016 I just booked my second casino cruise rate. What are the benefits associated with this booking? I don't remember anything being different on my first casino rate cruise. Thanks, Donna PS: I just got a $70 price drop yesterday on my cruise! I don't remember anything being different on my first casino rate cruise. Thanks, Donna PS: I just got a $70 price drop yesterday on my cruise! I called back to verify if there was anything additional to the cabin rate and was told no. There are additional casino rate benefits like casino cash or obc but unless it is spelled out specifically in the offer then it's just the cabin rate. I will be keeping my eye out for additional drops and/or possible casino cash or obc offers.
meatloafsfan Posted October 28, 2016 #12 Share Posted October 28, 2016 I checked my offers and found both my mother and I have the casino rate (but we do get a little cash). For our May Sunshine cruise (we're in the same room), I saved $20, gave up $50 OBC but gained $100 in casino cash - so we're ahead $70. For our November 2017 Magic cruises (we're in two different rooms), we gave up $50 OBC per room (so $100 total) but each cabin dropped $142 plus she has $50 casino cash and I have $100 casino cash so we're ahead $334. Every little bit helps.
Scarlett23 Posted October 28, 2016 #13 Share Posted October 28, 2016 A while back I was able to switch my rate to a casino rate and saved a few dollars plus got 50 casino cash but my friends who both husband and wife like to gamble were not able to get the offer because according to Carnival the 6K cabin they are in is in too high demand. The carnival rep said they should be able to go to casino once on board and explain that they could not get the special price due to their cabin category and casino host would possibly give them the casino cash part of the offer. mindymariexxo Posted October 28, 2016 #18 Share Posted October 28, 2016 They can e-mail casino@carnival.comIf any casino cash waiting on them, they can find out before boarding. On our last cruise I had a casino offer and had OBC. My fiance went to the cashier on board and asked if he had any perks for being a returning Players Club member and they put his VIFP number in and he got casino cash on top of the OBC I had gotten us. We'll both be asking if we have anything for our next cruise. Worst thing that can happen is they say no!

Thank you for the tip, I will have them contact the casino and hopefully they get something since they both are pretty decent casino players. AmberTeka Posted October 29, 2016 #20 Share Posted October 29, 2016 Early Saver price matches with Casino Rates. We have done it in the past. Alas, we are not getting casino offers on Carnival now. So instead of 8 day on Conquest next March for us, Daughter and her family.........We are on HAL for that week. We did get a casino rate there. And we don't get the freebies. But we do get some with a good discount and we appreciate them much. but we are only getting them for Princess and HAL. Hard to understand. Grateful for those..........but still ...........I love Carnival. Everyone said I would change when I grew older. I am 70 now......and I still love Carnival Best. We just sailed on RCI Freedom of the Seas. Culture shock. Did not like it ( Service and Staff were great) I did not like food, layout of ship, Trivia, nothing much to do...............Still had a good time. Hard to not have good time on ship.
