There are some really cute slippers available right now (pre-Christmas). I've seen black velvet with "jewels" and several "sparkly" ones. Also available are "gold" or "silver" keds. You should be able to find something comfy. Good luck and Happy feet. :D

Ruth has the same problem because of multiple back surgeries.

 

She tries to wear normal dress flats through the Captain reception line and sometimes to dinner but she then sends me off to the room to get black flats or slippers for her to wear that are more comfortable. No one ever notices.

 

I have to bribe her with diamonds and rubies to get her to wear animal slippers on formal nights. Only happens rarely.
