Is Carnival still doing EA Sports Bars?

Two or three years ago, I cruised on the Conquest and one of my favorite things about the ship was the EA Sports Bar.

 

I'm booked on the Dream after it goes through its scheduled dry dock this winter. Is there any chance it gets one, or does Carnival not do EA Sports Bars anymore as part of the 2.0 upgrades?

Gotcha. I knew there wasn't one on the Dream right now, but I'm hopeful it will get one this winter as part of the drydock upgrades. As long as the Skybox sports bar is essentially the same without the branding, that would be great.

It looked basically the same on Glory a couple weeks ago with the exception of the name change.

I would not count on the Dream getting a sports bar as neither Magic or Breeze have one.

Yeah, I know. I figure the upgrades will be about the same as those two, but I'm still crossing my fingers that I will be pleasantly surprised.

 

That's my one main complaint about the Dream - there's no place on the ship that really shows sports other than the casino bar, and I just can't take all that smoke.

I was just on the Dream a couple weeks ago and don't remember any televisions by the coffee bar. The only location showing football and baseball games was the casino bar and it sucks just walking through there because of all the smoke. There's no way I could stand watching a game there.

We just got off the Sunshine and most of the cruise the Skybox sat empty because the Satellite wasn't working. My husband and many other passengers were disappointed when they weren't showing any games! Or sometimes it would cut out in the middle of a game! :eek:

 

Not sure if this is an ongoing problem, or just a fluky thing that happened during our cruise??? :rolleyes:

I am also curious about this. I have only sailed on one ship that had the EA SB, so my question is, which ships have, or have had them?

 

I have SCRS :) , and can't remember which ship we sailed, had an EA Sports Bar??:confused:
