roseaxel Posted November 10, 2016 #1 Share Posted November 10, 2016 Just a FYI for cruisers going out of Mobile. There is now a way to prepay and reserve a parking spot before your cruise. You can set up an account at PremiumParking dot com and pay parking ahead of time. You then just drive into the parking garage without additional checking in. Since there is not enough space in that garage for everyone(overflow is sent to the Mobile Civic Center and bussed back to the port) it might be worth your while to do this ahead of time. ROMEOANDJULIET91 Posted November 17, 2016 #3 Share Posted November 17, 2016 It looks like a typical parking lot for a downtown area. No fencing or anything...I do not know the area so I would not park there. Can anyone give feedback?

Overflow is at the Civic Center a few blocks away and is fenced and secure. Obviously, parking in the garage at the port is more convenient than having to park in the overflow area. They do have shuttle buses back and forth from the Civic Center and the terminal. Here's a Google Maps bird's eye view of the terminal and the overflow parking area at the Civic Center, which is the gold domed building a few blocks away. https://www.google.com/maps/@30.685351,-88.0412089,584m/data=!3m1!1e3 Edited November 18, 2016 by Thorncroft

roseaxel Posted November 19, 2016 Author #6 Share Posted November 19, 2016 What's the charge to park there? Parking in the parking garage is $18 a day for regular size vehicles. Twice that for larger vehicles. Not sure if it is the same if you park at the Civic Center, but I would imagine it is. Kind of pricey. I guess they are trying to pay for the garage in one year in case Carnival pulls out again.
