Future of 5 day cruises departing Galveston?

Hey all. I was eyeing the 5 day cruise departing in late February 2017 on the Liberty but now, it looks like all 5-day cruises leaving Galveston Spring 2017 have been cancelled.

 

Any idea if this is Carnival just doing some garbage-collecting as they transition to the Valor or if this means all trips on this itinerary have been cancelled?

I think I remember seeing a post that all of the Liberty and Valor cruises are offline while they transition the bookings over. Supposed to be back up by the end of the month, if I remember right.

I have a 4 day cruise in Feb. Carnival sent me an email that they are switching the ships. They will open booking again for 4 and 5 day cruises on the Valor leaving Galveston soon. After all of the current reservation are switched.

They are in the middle of swapping everything from Liberty to Valor, cruise dates will not be affected, the e-mail I received indicated that things should be back to normal as far as bookings etc., should be done by the end of the month. Today we received the first confirmation of our cabin number on Valor, exactly the same as it was on Liberty for our B to B next Fall. It just gave us the top section of our booking confirmation, nothing else yet, hang in there it's a massive job swapping everything over, and Valor is a great ship:)

They need to swap out the ships and get everything settled because of the propulsion issues with Liberty. No worries. Short cruises will be back up soon.
