M3 Closures Sat 19/Sun 20th November

Just in case anyone is planning to join the M3 at Junction 2 or 3 travelling westwards to Southampton this weekend be aware that the motorway will be shut between those junctions to allow roadworks to be done. In fact it will probably be advisable to avoid the M3 travelling south altogether. Aurora leaves Southampton on Sunday so presumably there may be some people planning to join the M3 in order to get to Southampton.

I live pretty close to where the closures are going to be and know the roads that are going to be the diversions.

 

Knowing how busy the M3 between J2 and J3 is - sometimes almost stationary even on Sunday - it's going to be "interesting" over the next few days. Anyone driving to Southampton needs to really plan ahead... Please folks, don't miss the ship!
