Where exactly is the Sapphire now? What is the schedule for the maiden voyage?

Sapphire is in dry dock in Japan. She should sail for the US early this week, according to the press release. She will be in Seattle by June 11. Look at the photos--she is gorgeous!

Glad to hear that she looks so good. We saw her in the Japan shipyard just after her unfortunate fire in the fall of 2003. It was so very, very sad to see. (As many of you may know, at the time of the fire she was to be the Diamond Princess, but they renamed the ship that came out first the Diamond and used Sapphire for this one.)

There are newer pics up now, showing her leaving--I wish the web cam was up--it's still black, but at least it says Nagasaki instead of Italy now that it's left Nagasaki!
