Question for those who have done South Shore Zipline

Hello,

 

Well there are several ZIP lines in Roatan, I believe we have decided on South Shore via Rony's Tours

 

But .... we have never zipped before where pull brakes/gloves are used. What's that all about?! Any insight into this would be appreciated!

They ask to hold on to the harness below the pulleys with one hand and hold on to the cable behind you with the other. If you feel like your going to fast you can slow yourself down by pulling down on the cable. They will stop you at the platform
