Alaskan Cruise with Short Land Tour

Are there any cruise lines that also offer a combined short land tour (maybe 3-4 days, not a full week)? Thanks!!

We are staying 3 nights in Alaska and renting a car and driving to Seward on our own.

Most cruise lines that do cruise tours have ones as well.

 

They are usually called 10 or 11 day cruise tour.

7 day cruise with a 4 day land tour is an 11 day cruise tour.

Another option is to rent a car after your cruise and do your own trip. Alaska is easy to navigate and you can choose exactly what you want to do.

I would just head out to Seward area and spend a few days. Arrange this on your own.

 

You could also do a boat ride in Whittier.

 

Lots of options that are easy to arrange with out a tour company.

Look for a "cruise tour" instead of a cruise.

 

HAL & Princess have a lot of the logistics in place because they have been doing it for a long time.

 

Do a lot of research, these tours (& Land travel in AK in general) involve a lot of time on a bus or a train looking at trees.

 

Without getting into the having your bags packed & outside your room at "X" time, being ready to board the bus at "Y" time. You may prefer a slower pace or time to linger or possibly just a less crowded experience.

Stick with Princess and a tour with 2nights in Denali and you can't go wrong. HAL puts you at the bottom of a steep hill and most of the others don't put you anywhere near Glitter Gulch. Try to avoid a 1 nighter in Denali. You need to take at least the Tundra Wilderness Tour.
