Empress Deck Carnival Liberty

We will be taking our first cruise March 2006 on the Carnival Liberty, my husband and I are taking my daughter and 5 friends (3 cabins). My question is the Empress Deck a good choice for our rooms. We have 2 interiors and 1 balcony. We are worried about the noise level since I read from past posts about deck 6 having noise problems.

Hope this is the right choice for these 17 and 18yr olds, we are doing the 6 day western cruise. It was between Carnival and Royal Caribean but RC was to expensive for the teens. Any tips or thoughts would be great.........

We're booked on a later Liberty cruise...unless I'm mistaken, the Empress deck is on the SEVENTH floor. (On the Legend, it was SIXTH).

Believe the 6th and 8th floors are all cabins, so unless the couples directly above you or on either side are wild and crazy (which is always possible), nothing to worry about, right?
