tacostand11 Posted December 3, 2016 #1 Share Posted December 3, 2016 Does anyone know what the roads in and out of the Port of Galveston are like this weekend (12/3/16-12/4/16)? I have heard reports of Harborside having 10"of water on it and cars getting stuck. Trying to figure out if and how we can get in tomorrow and if parking lots are flooding. Galveston Cruiser Posted December 3, 2016 #2 Share Posted December 3, 2016 Come in on Broadway. There are parking lots on 33rd and on Market. Rain has let up for now. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

BallFour4 Posted December 4, 2016 #5 Share Posted December 4, 2016 Harborside in front of the entry hasn't flooded all weekend. Come down 45 to 19th and drive right in. We've had record rainfall in the past 24 hours. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
JaniceB Posted December 6, 2016 #6 Share Posted December 6, 2016 Does Galveston flood frequently?
BallFour4 Posted December 6, 2016 #7 Share Posted December 6, 2016 Does Galveston flood frequently? No. The rain we had this weekend was a remarkable amount. Harborside Drive is the most expedient way to the cruise terminal from the freeway. It will have standing water 4-5 times a year. This past weekend it was impassable as were a few of the lower numbered streets between Harborside and Seawall Blvd. Being at sea level does that; there aren't any cruise ports in Kansas. .
