Dark Defender Posted December 5, 2016 #1 Share Posted December 5, 2016 Hi all Long time no speak. We're making my return to cruising in June 2017 after (what will be) a 5 year hiatus! We're going on the Thomson Discovery, and have booked a junior suite. From memory (and it was only yesterday!) all cabins appear to be on deck 8. Does anyone have any recommendations of what cabin(s) to choose and/or avoid? Our wants are unrestricted view and quiet. I'm sure this will be the first of many more frequent visits back on here! Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Pensioncruiser Posted December 5, 2016 #3 Share Posted December 5, 2016 Someone has posted recently that under the pool/deck area is noisy we have booked one at the rear😉 Sent from my b1-720 using Forums mobile app
shot2bits Posted December 7, 2016 #4 Share Posted December 7, 2016 We had 8053 in late July. The room was fine, about the same as a veranda room on Celebrity. The room was quiet and comfortable but I would suggest you book a room as far away as possible from the pool area. We were plagued by the music drifting over from there, in fact you are plagued by noisy music everywhere on the ship. We didn't Pre book the room as I figured I'd given more than enough of my hard earned to Thomson. Sent from my iPad using Forums
